Earth’s future – in whose hands?
If you’ve ever looked around you or listened to the daily news and thought, “What is going on with the world?”, you’re not alone. Many people feel overwhelmed by the chaos—wars, injustice, greed, and confusion. But maybe the problem isn’t the world itself; maybe it’s what we’ve been taught by our parents and teachers to believe about it—let’s face it, our parents never really told us how we got here, that when we die we go to heaven, and schools mostly teach the theory of evolution.
Time to Rethink What You’ve Been Told
From a young age, most of us were taught by parents, teachers, and society how the world works. We were told to get a good education, chase success, trust in human systems, and believe that science or politics would fix everything…but look where that’s got us! The truth is, these ideas, more often than not, leave people feeling empty and lost.
“The Bible offers a different view—one that doesn’t change with trends or politics. It tells us why the world is in the state it’s in and what’s coming next.”
Think about this scripture: “We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” — 1 John 5:19
That’s a bold statement, sure, but it explains a lot. If the world is under the influence of someone wicked …. no wonder things are upside down!
The Real Hope Isn’t in Human Hands
People try to fix things with good intentions, but the Bible says real change won’t come from humans:
“Do not put your trust in princes nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.” — Psalm 146:3
Instead, it points to God’s Kingdom as the only solution:
“Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.” — Matthew 6:10
So if you’re confused or discouraged, maybe it’s time to stop listening to the noise—and start listening to the Bible … that’s where the truth really lives!
