a New World Coming Soon
God’s Purpose for the Earth
“The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”
(Psalm 37:29)
God created the earth to be a permanent home for righteous people. He placed the first human couple, Adam and Eve, in the beautiful garden of Eden and entrusted them—along with their descendants—with the care of the earth.
“God blessed them, and God said to them- ‘Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that moves on the earth.’”
– (Genesis 1:28)
The Earth Today—Far From Paradise
The world we live in now is nothing like the Paradise God originally intended. Yet, His purpose remains unchanged. How will He fulfill it? As previous articles have explained, God will not destroy the earth. Instead, He will allow faithful people to live on it. But what will life be like when God’s promises are fulfilled?
A Just Global Government
In the near future, God’s heavenly government will take full control over humanity, transforming the earth into a joyful, peaceful home. Under this righteous rule, people will live in harmony and find deep satisfaction in their work.
Jesus Christ, appointed by God, will govern the earth. Unlike many leaders today, He will genuinely care for people. His rule will be founded on love, and He will be a compassionate, merciful, and fair King.
” He will judge the lowly with fairness… He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth and put the wicked to death with the breath of his lips.”
– (Isaiah 11:4)
