god’s promises
God has indeed already made a promise – after the flood of Noah’s day, He gave us a rainbow as a sign that He will never again flood the world!
The wonderful message of God’s Kingdom is reaching people all around the world, just as Jesus said it would. (Matthew 24:14) In the book of Daniel, we find that this kingdom is a real government led by God himself. Daniel chapter 2 outlines the rise and fall of human kingdoms, starting with Babylon and stretching all the way to our time. Looking ahead, verse 44 shares a striking promise.
“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever.” — Daniel 2:44
We learn here, and in other prophecies, that God’s Kingdom will take the place of human rule, bringing lasting peace and order. Life under this Kingdom will bring blessings we can barely imagine. Below are some of the wonders the Bible promises.

No more war
“[God] is bringing an end to wars throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the military wagons with fire.” (Psalm 46:9)
Imagine a world where weapons are a thing of the past and all effort is turned to helping people, not harming them. God’s Kingdom will bring worldwide peace. No more families shattered by violence. No more fear. Instead, we will be free to build happier lives.

No more sickness
“No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isaiah 33:24)
Picture waking up every day in perfect health. There will be no hospitals, no one suffering with illnesses like heart disease or cancer. Children and adults everywhere will live with strong healthy bodies and calm minds.

No more food shortage
“There will be an abundance of grain on the earth; on the top of the mountains it will overflow.” (Psalm 72:16)
Hunger and malnutrition will disappear. Fields everywhere will flourish, providing more than enough for each family. People of all ages will enjoy nourishing meals every day. No child will go to bed hungry.

No more pain, sorrow, or death
“[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
There will be a time when sadness and loss are only memories. Death itself will end. We will live on a paradise earth, side by side with family and friends, never again haunted by grief or fear.
“It will have sure success”
For many people, these promises may seem distant or even impossible. Most of us cannot imagine a life free from pain, sickness, or death because no one has experienced these blessings yet. We have spent so long under the weight of suffering that it has become normal.
But that was never the Creator’s intent for people. God’s purpose from the start was a happy life for all.
To assure us, God made this strong statement about his word:
“It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight, and it will have sure success in what I send it to do.” (Isaiah 55:11)
God is described as the one “who cannot lie”. (Titus 1:2) Since he has promised such a wonderful future, we would do well to think about whether everlasting life in a peaceful paradise is really possible. What steps can we take to share in these blessings? In the next pages, we will find reliable guidance to help us answer these questions and draw closer to the hope God offers.
