stop trusting broken systems

Throughout history, human governments have risen and fallen, each promising safety, justice, and prosperity. Yet today, wars rage on, poverty deepens, and inequality widens. Leaders vow change, but corruption and self-interest prevail. People pour hope into elections, policies, and revolutions, only to face repeated disappointment. When will this cycle end? When will people see that earthly systems cannot save us?

The Record of Human Rule—A Story of Failure

History shouts the truth—no human system, whether democracy, monarchy, or dictatorship, has delivered lasting peace. Economies crumble, treaties shatter, and power corrupts absolutely. Even well-meaning leaders buckle under greed or violence. As the Bible starkly warns—

“Man has dominated man to his injury.”

—Ecclesiastes 8:9

This failure is everywhere—families broken by injustice, communities ravaged by crime, nations scarred by war. People cling to the next “saviour” or ideology, but the outcome never changes. Why? Because imperfect humans cannot create perfect systems.

God’s Kingdom—The Only Lasting Solution

Unlike shifting human alliances, God’s kingdom offers a permanent government. It’s not a metaphor or distant dream—it’s a real rulership established in heaven, with Jesus Christ as King. Scripture declares—

“The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. It will crush all these kingdoms and put an end to them, and it alone will stand forever.”

—Daniel 2:44

This kingdom actively intervenes in human affairs, not through politicians or armies, but through divine authority. It eliminates greed, oppression, and war. In God’s promised new world—

“Death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”

—Revelation 21:4

Why Do People Resist This Hope?

Pride blinds us. Trusting human systems feels like control—choosing leaders, debating laws, and demanding rights. Admitting their futility requires humility. Society also mocks faith in God’s rule as naïve or escapist. Yet, consider the irony—people accept that doctors heal bodies and engineers build bridges but dismiss the Creator’s ability to govern. As Jesus taught—

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

—Matthew 6:10

This prayer isn’t passive—it’s a call to action. It means rejecting the lie that humans can rule themselves and embracing God’s sovereignty.

The Turning Point—When Trust Shifts

Change begins when crisis shatters illusions. Pandemics, climate disasters, and global conflicts expose human fragility. As suffering intensifies, hearts soften. The Bible describes this awakening—

“People will faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”

—Luke 21:26

Already, millions worldwide recognise God’s kingdom as humanity’s only hope. They study Scripture, live by its standards, and share its message urgently. This isn’t withdrawal from society—it’s active citizenship in a higher government.

Your Choice—Where Will You Place Your Trust?

Human systems demand our faith—vote, protest, obey. Yet they consume resources, lives, and hope. God’s kingdom asks only for acceptance. It costs nothing—yet offers everything. The hour nears when all human rule will end. Those who transfer their trust now find unshakeable peace. As the psalmist assures—

“The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”

—Psalm 37:11

Stop waiting for humans to save you. Embrace the kingdom that already reigns. Your peace starts today!

Why This Matters to You

These aren’t distant events. They directly shape our present and future, as the culmination of the current world system draws near.

Facing escalating global turmoil, many instinctively seek refuge in human institutions—governments, organisations, systems—that appear as enduring as mountains. Yet, the Bible reveals the futility of this hope during the ultimate crisis:

“…they say to the mountains and to the rocks: ‘Hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’”

— Revelation 6:16, 17

No human structure offers true sanctuary. As Revelation 19:19-20 confirms, all will face judgement. However, God promises a profound transformation: the troubled old world will be replaced with a righteous new one. Entry into this new society hinges on faithfulness. Christ Jesus will reign from heaven “for righteousness,” guiding his chosen representatives on earth who rule “for justice itself”:

“Look! A king will reign for righteousness itself, and as respects princes, they will rule as princes for justice itself.”

— Isaiah 32:1

Who doesn’t desire a secure, hopeful future? To be part of this new world founded on true justice requires heeding God’s direction:

“Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth… Seek righteousness, seek meekness, so you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.”

— Zephaniah 2:3

Now, more than ever, as history approaches its climax, turning to God and studying his Word provides essential guidance. History repeatedly underscores the folly of misplaced trust in humans. Events like Watergate shattered confidence, prompting the question, “If you can’t trust the government, whom can you trust?” The Bible’s timeless counsel resonates powerfully:

“Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.”

— Psalm 146:3

Consider Cardinal Wolsey’s lament after losing favour with King Henry VIII: “Had I but served my God with half the zeal I served my king, he would not at my age have left me naked to my enemies.” Relying solely on human solutions for life’s greatest challenges leads inevitably to disappointment.

God, however, is fundamentally different. He is the “God of truth” (Psalm 31:5), who “cannot lie” (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18). His promise is unwavering: He will eradicate injustice and establish a righteous new world. Trusting Him and aligning our lives with His will yields immeasurable, lasting benefits:

“Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please him well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.”

— Hebrews 11:6

“…the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.”

— 1 John 2:17

The time for placing complete trust in God is now. He faithfully rewards those who sincerely seek Him and live by His righteous standards.
