The Origin of Evil
In the beginning, all the spirit persons whom Jehovah, God’s name, created were good. However, one angel chose a bad path and became known as Satan the Devil. Satan desperately wanted people on Earth to worship him instead of Jehovah.
This is how it started…. in the beautiful Garden of Eden, there were many trees bearing delicious fruit. Jehovah told Adam and his wife, Eve, that they could freely eat from any of them. But there was one specific tree that God strictly forbade them from touching. He warned them that if they ate from it, they’d certainly die.
One day, Eve was on her own when a snake appeared to speak to her. It wasn’t actually the animal speaking, of course… it was Satan the Devil making it appear as though the snake talked. Satan told Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would grant her wisdom just like God. He also promised her that she wouldn’t die. Both of these claims were complete lies. Sadly, Eve believed Satan and ate the fruit. She later shared some with Adam, and he ate it as well.
This historical account reveals that Satan is both a rebel and a liar. He promised Eve that disobeying God wouldn’t lead to death, which was a total fabrication. She eventually died, and so did Adam. Satan didn’t perish at that moment, though he faces ultimate destruction later because of his sin. For now, he remains alive, continuing to deceive mankind, telling lies, and trying to influence people to break God’s laws.
More Angels Rebel

As time went on, additional angels turned rogue and became dedicated followers of Satan. These spirit creatures noticed the beautiful women on the earth and desired to have physical relationships with them. Consequently, they descended to the Earth, materialised into male human forms, and took these women as wives. This completely contradicted God’s original purpose.
This rebellion brought immense suffering to the world. The wives of these fallen angels gave birth to offspring who weren’t normal children. They grew into incredibly violent, ruthless giants. Before long, the world became so overwhelmed with violence that Jehovah decided to wipe out the corrupt society with a massive global deluge. The only people who survived this great flood were a righteous man named Noah and his immediate family.
The wicked angels didn’t die during the flood…. instead, they shed their physical forms and returned to the spirit realm. However, they faced heavy punishment. Jehovah banned them from ever rejoining His family of holy angels and stripped them of their ability to take on human bodies again. Ultimately, they face total destruction in the final judgement.
Expulsion from the Heavens
Later on, a massive conflict erupted in the spirit realm. The sacred writings describe the event this way…. “And war broke out in heaven…. Jesus and his holy angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its wicked angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited world…. he was hurled down to the earth, and his fallen angels were hurled down with him.”
This event brought contrasting results. The scriptures go on to state…. “On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them!” The loyal angels could rejoice because Satan and his wicked followers were permanently banned from the heavens. But the situation became perilous for the Earth’s population. The scripture warns…. “Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
Today, Satan and his wicked associates continue to deceive and bring immense misery to people across the world. These corrupt spirits are known as demons. They’re sworn enemies of God, and 100% of their intentions are entirely evil.
