Knocking on a Closed Door

People mock them, people turn them away, people shut their front doors in their face. Yes, I’m talking about Jehovah’s Witnesses. You’ve likely seen them on your street, holding their pamphlets and smiling despite the cold reactions. It doesn’t seem to deter them. But have you ever wondered why they keep knocking….

The Message of Revelation

Many believe we’re living in the last chapter of the Bible, Revelation. From this viewpoint, the world is facing its final days, and the Witnesses are sharing what they believe is the ultimate good news so you may be saved. For them, this isn’t a casual hobby. It’s an urgent, lifesaving mission to reach as many people as possible before time runs out.

A Mission Across the World

Their work isn’t small. They’ve reached almost every corner of the world, sharing their faith with billions. While only a small % of people they meet actually stop to listen, that doesn’t stop them. They believe that even if 99% of people say no, finding that one person who wants to listen makes it all worth it.

Why They Keep Trying

So, why do they keep coming back after being rejected…. The answer is simple…. they care. To them, the warning in the scriptures is real. As the Bible says, “Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.” They view their work as an act of love, hoping to offer a lifeline in what they see as a darkening world. Next time they knock, you don’t have to agree, but it’s worth remembering the deep conviction driving them to your door.
