is this life all there is?
Have you ever thought there might be more to life than being born, going to school, working, getting married, raising a family, growing old, then dying after 70-80 years? Does life actually mean something? First, we should ask how life started.
The human body… it didn’t just appear from nothing. When we look at the complexity and workings of it, I think it’s pretty obvious there’s a powerful, wise designer/creator behind it all, and so it makes sense that he must have made us for a reason. Finding out that reason can bring real meaning to our lives.
Why Were Humans Made…
The Creator blessed the first human couple with a beautiful paradise garden and gave them an exciting task… His plan was for them to fill the world, take care of it and live forever on it! He gave them just one instruction…
“ 16 From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.” – (Genesis 2:16,17)
That plan was put on hold when the couple chose not to follow his rule and go it alone. But the Creator hasn’t given up on us… or on his plan. The Scriptures promise us that he has been working to rescue faithful people and that his plan for the world will still happen. So the Creator wants you to see life the way he intended it to be!
How Did We Get Here
Over the centuries mankind has damaged what we were trusted to care for. Forests are cut for quick profit. Oceans are treated like rubbish bins. Governments promise peace but often serve themselves. The news feels heavy because so many people feel unsafe, unheard, and unprotected. Was it meant to be like this?
The evidence says no. Earth provides enough for everyone’s needs, but not for everyone’s greed. When power and money matter more than people, the world suffers. Studies show that over 70% of people across the world distrust political leadership. That doesn’t mean we’re doomed to live under corrupt systems forever.
Who Can Really Fix This
So do we keep relying on human governments alone—surely over 2,000 years of failure answers that question—or do we need to look to a higher source? History shows that people fail when pride and self-interest take over. We need to look to a higher source… our Creator, God!

“To Jehovah belong the earth and everything in it, the productive land and those dwelling on it..”
– Psalm 24:1
This scripture is a reminder that we’re only tenants, not owners. If we treated our home like it belonged to someone greater, maybe we’d stop wrecking the rooms!
What We Choose Next
Ok, so it’s pretty clear that we can’t undo all the damage we’ve caused, but we don’t need to wait for world leaders to get it right either! The perfect home doesn’t need replacing. It needs respect. And that respect begins when we look beyond ourselves… to the higher source that gave us this world in the first place!
