how false beliefs distort the divine
You may well ask, if the Almighty is the definition of love, why do many religions claiming to represent Him do such terrible things? The plain truth is that these groups are false…. they completely distort who He really is. But how exactly do they twist His identity? How does it affect Him, and what’s His plan to correct it?
Twisting the Truth with Wrong Teachings
False religious groups have traded divine truth for a lie (Romans 1:25). For instance, the vast majority of them fail to teach their members God’s personal name, even though the scriptures clearly state His name should be used openly….
“25 They exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.”
– Romans 1:25
Furthermore, some leaders claim that tragedies and suffering are simply part of God’s mysterious plan… Indeed, many people believe this also, because that’s what they’re taught… and they believe it without finding out the truth for themselves! But that doesn’t align with reality. The Almighty isn’t responsible for bad things happening. God cannot be tried with evil things, nor does he try anyone…
“13 .When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone.”
(-James 1:13)
Unfortunately, these major lies have driven many people completely away from Him.
Actions That Contradict Love
These institutions don’t treat people with the same care that Jehovah does. In fact, scripture notes that the wrongdoings of false faith have piled up all the way to heaven (Revelation 18:5). For generations, various faiths have interfered in political affairs, backed bloody conflicts, and directly caused or validated the loss of millions of lives. On top of that, many leaders live in absolute luxury, demanding hard-earned money from their congregations to fund their lavish habits. Behaviours like this prove they don’t even know God, meaning they definitely shouldn’t be claiming to speak for him….
” 7 Beloved ones, let us continue loving one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.”
– 1 John 4:7, 8
A Promised End to Deception
If the corruption of false faith makes you furious, imagine how Jehovah feels. He deeply cares for people, which means he’s incredibly angry with leaders who lie about his character and exploit their followers. He has made a firm promise that deceptive religion will be completely wiped out and “will never be found again” (Revelation 18:21). The world won’t have to wait long, because he’ll soon bring all false worship to a permanent end (Revelation 18:8).
Examining the Path Forward
It’s worth taking a closer look at how God views this issue. Understanding what these groups have done shouldn’t stop you from building a personal relationship with Jehovah.
Many people assume that different faiths are just various paths leading to the exact same destination. But that doesn’t match what scripture teaches. After looking at Matthew 7:13, 14, consider how the narrow and spacious roads show that God doesn’t support every form of worship.
Today, Satan and his wicked associates continue to deceive and bring immense misery to people across the world. These corrupt spirits are known as demons. They’re sworn enemies of God, and 100% of their intentions are entirely evil.
